Officially the lowest 6 Nations crowd in Cardiff. Beating the previous record of 58,349 against Italy in 2002.

If, as is being rumoured, the football team play the 2028 qualifiers in the Millennium Stadium, do you think we’d beat that?

I’d imagine the football tickets would be a whole lot cheaper. Are they really thinking of going to the Millennium Stadium? I’ve missed that.

      Re: 57,744

I was having to check whether my dog was sitting on the remote all of the time because every time France had the ball it seemed that the stream was operating at double speed and every time we had it, I thought it was on half speed.

I shouldn’t, but part of me finds the Welsh rugby decline funny. There was also embarrassment today though to see so many empty seats for a six Nations game, why don’t they start reducing the prices a bit?

I think it’s being discussed, perhaps only tentatively. The argument being to get the team and fans accustomed to it being our “home” stadium for the tournament.

It could be that it’ll be nations league and/or friendlies played there whilst the qualifiers remain at the CCS.

They were trying to give them away or half price deals last few days

I actually don't think we would for the bread and butter games, probably yes for the big ones

Pretty sure the last time I saw Wales play at the Millennium Stadium was a friendly against Paraguay in 2006. It finished 0-0. The crowd was 12,324.

17 year-old Lewin Nyatanga made his debut that night. He was being touted as a future superstar who was worth multi-millions. Didn’t quite work out that way.

Similar. Although I wouldn't say funny, but more than I am content in seeing the WRU punished and I think it'd necessary to bring about change.

Of the 57000, from what they said perhaps no more than 45000 were Welsh fans too.

I think the sands in the football v rugby debate have shifted in recent years, but we should also be very aware that those days could easily return.

I remember the game in question too. Can't have been much after/before Bales first goal and the 1-5 game v Slovakia?

Just before I think. I’ve had a look at a list of qualifiers played there after that Paraguay game and I probably went to a couple of them, but I’m not 100% sure.

I don't like to see any Welsh sport humiliated.

It's not very odd... If we were playing shite week in week out we wouldn't have 20k plus.. they aren't playing well and hence nobody wants to watch them. It's not the end of welsh rugby for those that are wetting their knickers in delight :hehe:

We played Spain there in 2018 and got absolutely spanked, they were different class. 50,232 there that night

                              There's several factors at play-
                              We're crap
There's 3 home games this year
                              It's a Sunday
                              It's far too expensive
The WRU need to realise they need to treat their customers better, and have a more appropriate pricing structure. Im sure some fans are staying away because of the current shenanigans with the regions.

I doubt the football team will get a bigger attendance for the Nations League games in the Autumn.
