Re: 16 goals in 5 games without a centre forward
Second half they seemed super-chilled - Tanner, Ng, Kellyman etc all having a chuckle and Ng and Tanner did their usual chatter with their opposite numbers whenever there was a break in play. I remember Kellyman laughing when their keeper came out to the corner flag to clear the ball into touch. Re. not having an out-and-out striker, at the end of the day lately it seems as if anyone in a City shirt fancies a pop at goal. Happy days !Originally posted by North Cardiff Blue View PostStrikerless Cardiff is a different beast. Watching the youngsters zip it around last night felt like a cup mismatch; we were just idling in first gear until we chose to kill the game off. After five decades of watching the City, this brand of football is right up there with the very best of it. Pure class.
It's easy to spot where BBM did his apprenticeship. We are getting better and better. The players were smiling all night; even when they were fouled, they were smiling and laughing.

Re: 16 goals in 5 games without a centre forward
Not playing with a target I guess 1, means players such as Ollie Tanner have to think more about what they're doing, rather than speculatively putting crosses in hoping someone will get on the end of it, 2 means players such as the Colwills and Kellyman have more freedom to try something different other than just offering support to Salech.
Its great to watch, great to see players enjoying themselves and great to see a team working for each other.

I'm a self confessed Kellyman non-expert. I can't see him being a PL superstar. If you look at players like Kane, Foden, Saka etc. They were already playing regularly in the PL at his age. I see him more of a Bobby Reid, Jacob Murphy, type. Good players that would be superstars in the Championship and more than capable of playing in the PL. But not star players.Originally posted by NinianKnight View PostAs the resident Kellyman expert do you agree with me that OK will one day be a PL superstar?
