I have pictures. I’ll upload them later. They have been posted before. But it’s been a while.

        Before a match, early 2000's I'd guess

Really good and I agree, his last album was wonderful.

Saw him in Clwb Ifor Bach about a year ago, with a band, this time it was solo. He just used a 4 track recorder as backing. The church made for a very atmospheric evening. Although I've never been to a gig where you can buy home made jam.

There were at least two of them weren’t there? I remember one of them being before this game which was played almost exactly 20 years ago- it bucketed down that day.

Can’t help thinking that those who are saying you have to be wholly for or against something these days are right and I’d say TBG is right to link it to social media.

About ten years ago, I became aware of a feeling that I was losing my sense of humour a bit and I was moaning about things that wouldn’t have got me down before. I put it down to getting old, but it’s interesting to hear how youngsters react to giving social media up for a week or two as part of an experiment - seems to me that invariably they find it a positive experience, so maybe there’s plenty of others who felt like I did and it’s not just about getting older?

I wouldn't say that I link that mindset solely to social media but that social media is deliberately set up to evoke responses and for financial purposes. We all have a choice to not play that game and not to react to the shock-jockery involved - or to weigh things up ourselves away from those particular media and taking into account complexity, nuance and all else that constitute intelligent and well-informed debate.
However, I'm grateful that I grew up away from online peer pressure and an undue emphasis on superficialities that perhaps the younger generation are exposed to so early on. (It also helps that I am not a herd creature but that's another matter!).
              Moo,
