          Never met him.

I listen to what he says and I think his actions have so far backed up his words. I go by that 👍🏻

Selling Lawler for anything like £10m would be madness and very short sighted - a good year in the Championship and his value would be likely to at least double possibly much more. JJ is a great shout but Rennes probably wouldn't let him go but you never know as a season at Leicester won't have done him many favours-it's nothing to do with him being Welsh but he's just a darn good player. Getting him on loan might be an option. Are we really committed to buying Trott for £2m? He's good but not worth that money as there are plenty of good goalkeepers likely to become available for much less. Robinson is of course surplus but he's likely to want to go anyway. Kellyman is interesting! Personally I would let him return to Chelsea as he is unlikely to want to stay. He's not that good anyway and has zero chance of getting anywhere near Chelsea's first team.

I'm not one for rumours but a little bird on the terraced told me that Trott is definitely leaving at the end of the season.

A big drop-off; he was nailed on staying a few months ago, but seems to have got slightly worse month on month.

As stated above I can see very little expenditure being made due to the current financial deficits, especially if we are committed to a fee for Trott. Some decent loans could make this team comfortably mid table next season. I don’t see any club making bids of anywhere near £10m at this stage for Lawlor based on a season in League One ( his international appearances have come against opposition that would be considered below premier league standard). I also imagine that players we may want to move on (Robinson?) are on wages that would be unaffordable for most league one clubs.

Has there been a big drop off in form with Trott? He made some spectacular saves at the start of the season but maybe he’s just been less employed. I can’t recall any serious goalkeeping errors by him with his hands and though he could be more commanding coming for crosses he hasn’t made any real mistakes . He’s been excellent with the ball at his feet, except the one error at Orient which hasn’t been repeated, and with the risks taking from playing this way, to have it happen only once in a season is a result.

It was noticeable he was considerably more comfortable with the ball at his feet than the Bolton keeper , who came very close on a few occasions to losing the ball
