    Re: So who's being sold/leaving

"Sources at the club have indicated that owner Vincent Tan is willing to fund new signings this summer, provided head coach Brian Barry-Murphy can make a compelling enough case for those prospective recruits...

Although Barry-Murphy is coy about his transfer plans, some board members reckon the Bluebirds need between four and six signings.

Midfielders, wingers and full-backs appear to be priorities, though the squad would benefit from bolstering in all areas."

From transfers to contract renewals, BBC Sport Wales looks at Cardiff City's priorities as they prepare for life back in the Championship.

If its the guy involved with Bale who is offering 6p in the pound to buy Sheffield Wednesday wed probably be better off with Tan anyway.

Id love an ambitious wealthy ownership to buy us. But id say its highly unlikely there are any realistic bills and certainly wont be monitoring flight radar for flights in from this South African consortium.
has the last flight from south africa landed yet:hehe:

As for Wintle and Ng, I'd imagine they've been waiting for promotion to be confirmed before committing. Especially Ng, who would probably have no problem finding another club at that level. Wouldn't be surprised to see them both announced in the coming weeks.

In terms of outgoings, I think Robinson might move on in search of more regular football, and assuming Lawlor, Fish, Chambers, and Osho all stay, I can't see any room for Daland. Like to see us move on the rest of the deadwood (i.e., Etete, Simic, Reindorf) too.

For me, the priority is to get one (or two) quality wide men in (I don't mind Tanner as an option off the bench but his output isn't nearly good enough for a top-half Championship side), and we know Willock can blow hot and cold. I'd also like to see us sign a similar type of striker as Salech so we're not relying on playing people out of position if he gets injured.

I'd also say another left back (maybe Scanlon will be back?) and personally I'd sign another right back and send Kpakio out on loan.

Apart from that don't think we need major surgery.
I agree with all of that.

Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the Colwill boys go.

          I hope it's not Joel

I think he's made his pitch by getting Cardiff promoted at the first time of asking. A lot of teams can languish in League One, look at Sheffield United and Leeds.

I hope if either go, it's for the benefit of both them and us financially.

Ipswich (maybe) interested in Joel Bagan!

The Tractor Boys have entered the race for a Cardiff player, who has played a key role in the Welsh side securing promotion.

I expect to see most of our team and Manager linked with different club’s between here and September

Speculation about Tan selling and a serious of five things CCFC, need to do before the season starts to A) avoid relegation B) go for back to back promotions

Those back pages won’t fill themselves, so there’s always a story to be written

Leif Davis has signed a contract until 2029 there so if Joel fancies being a back up player ?

                      Re: So who's being sold/leaving

if is a little bit of a concern that of the 6 players shortlisted for player of the season, as it stands 3 of them won't be here next year, plus Perry Ng a multiple time player of the season and probably unlucky not to be on the shortlist.

they will probably all have other clubs at championship level interested so you wouldn't blame any of them for having a look if other offers come in.

in terms of the rest of the squad, the players who probably aren't justifying their current salary (total guesses here) would be Chambers, Turnbull and Osho who I imagine are on larger than average wages and aren't playing enough to justify that.
however it might be difficult to move any of those players on.
personally I'd keep Osho and think about the other two but not a disaster if all 3 stay by any means.

How do you make a compelling argument to someone that doesn't understand what you're talking about? Unless that argument is "he shoots every time he gets the ball".
