Didn’t Oxford drop points after being spied upon….

Do they now have a case?

It's now emerged the manager authorised the spying. Either he resigns or is sacked but I can't see him managing anyone else in the UK again

I’d imagine terrace wits are composing some piss taking chants and songs for next season. I’d love us to have a few decent composers of original stuff.

The FA are investigating now. They can issue sanctions against individuals, the EFL could only sanction the club.

It takes some time to get used to. Take it at a snail's pace

He reckons it's all the rage outside of the UK. Could this prompt an appeal to UEFA?

When Didier Deschamps complained in 2014 about a drone espionage attempt during the World Cup... the video analyst for Germany was Tonda Eckert

Cologne were caught spying in 2015 vs Hamburg. The spy booked a hotel room inside the Hamburg training facility

Tonda Eckert was on the Cologne staff at that time.

In this day and age when powerful tiny cameras can be secreted in a tie around one's neck, in the badge on the front of a hat or in a myriad of locations on or away from the human body, it's quite laughable to think that the case revolves around a guy holding up a mobile camera next to a tree.

Blimey, so it sounds like either Southampton knew of this beforehand and were okay with it or, more likely to me, their due diligence was severely lacking.

A thought occurs to me about one of the offshoots of this affair. I’ve read that their captain Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been pretty vocal about the matter. If, as has been speculated, Southampton players are feeling pretty mutinous about what’s happened, it’s possible that a lot of them could be leaving this summer. If Harwood-Bellis was one of them and, perhaps tempted by the chance of working with BBM again, he made an unlikely move to City, how would you feel about it given his antics at the end of the Second Leg against Boro? For myself, I’d be disappointed - he’d definitely be good enough for our team, but I wouldn’t want someone like that at City.
