It was funny because of all the Brazil fans crying, after the Brazilian side banged out their national anthem twice. And the reaction of David Luiz who went rogue and decided to play up front. Big Phil Scolari's face was a picture, after the fith went in it was like he didn't give a ****

The 2nd funniest thing was that weird bloke who used to dress up in a union jack suit for England games and was allowed to stand by the players tunnel. It's a good job he;s not about in this day and age as interpol would probably like a quiet word.

I would say that final was the best too, for the same reasons.
Also I was ridiculously happy at being able to see Rivelino play in a 1978 friendly at Wembley as at that time he was the last of the 1970 team still playing for Brazil.

          1970 for me too.

But the Dutch side of the 74 and 78 cups Johaan Cruyff and Rudy Krol,- probably the best side never to win the WC

Yeah I Googled it after my post and realised it was considerably later on.

It then took me to some YouTube Clips.

              Jeez, what a player!

Can’t remember if the allegations were proven though?
It was very odd, that l'm sure of. Remember the three wheeled Robin reliant disability cars parked behind the goal at Stamford Bridge. The old man used to say to me that the cars only had three wheels because the drivers only had one leg. I tried not to laugh.

I think Mexico was a good one. The games were 7pm and 11pm as I recall. One down the pub and then one when I got home. I remember watching Spain 5-1 Denmark after the pub one night. What a game!

I've watched from 1970 and the best world cup for me was the Argentinian 1978 tournament.
Mario Kempes was outstanding in the tournament and that team were too

Socrates also spoke out against the military leadership who governed Brazil at the time. He was an interesting character off the pitch. He was the leader of that Brazilian side in 82, even though they had Zico amongst a load of other fantastic players.

                          Rossi did them mind.

That’s right. I remember at Mexico 86 he wore a headband with a political slogan on it criticising the government. Think he also refused to sing the anthem at that tournament?
The side in 82 was pure brilliance, by 86 the likes of Zico, Socrates and Junior were a bit over the hill. Shame they didn’t win in 82
