Seems she was from an ordinary family who ran a newsagent business. She went to a standard secondary modern school in Watford, then Keele University. Not from a privilaged public school background or Oxbridge.

I think your judgement of her is coloured by the fact that she is a Tory.

You've just said it yourself: her family ran a Newspaper business! Very privaleged in my book! It's not as though she was born into a family of shop workers. Compare that to the millions of Asian people living in squalor who are not fortunate to live and work in Britain.

I didn't defend her. As I said Im not that fond of her. I just pointed to Dorcus that she had a very normal upbringing and is not one of the privileged few. So his conclusion on what a horrible racist women he thinks she us is probably tainted because she also happens to be a Tory.

many other Jews don't think so too. and he's said "antisemitism is vile and wrong" that seems fairly straightforward to me.

So who do we believe? The Jews who say corbyn is racist, or the Jews who say he isn't? Should we dismiss the views of those who feel he is racist because someone somewhere counters their position?

In this very thread we've had some say Patel is racist, and some say she isn't.

I'm not convinced Patel is on a personal level, but I think she's a despicable person, who is happy to pander to racists if she thinks it suits her

Many Jews seem to think so, and his reluctance to condemn anti-semitism would indicate that he is.
