  • Re: GLAMMY

Kellaway definitely could do with a decent score in this competition, but, just like any one dismissed in the cutting test match on that substandard pitch, I’m not going to criticise him for failing during the half hour of near darkness which, in the end, decided the game.

Yeah you can justifiably criticise Carlson for that, although Worcs would have had the same problem batting and it would have still been a farce, albeit in our favour.

The fact remains though that Worcs should not be playing evening T20 home games. Which in itself is embarrassing; how can a top level English county ground still not have floodlights in 2026?

Maybe the ECB should take that £1m a year they give to Jofra Archer for turning up when he wants, and use it to improve the domestic game's infrastructure instead.

its crazy not having floodlights there , just read they lost the t20 quarter final last year on the ground due to bad light ,they should have to start home games earlier in the day

Either way, not a great look for the game, especially with it being televised live on Sky. If teams are punished for producing poor pitches, that should certainly be looked at too IMO.

As for Glammy, another ballsy performance with some great individual contributions, although some of the pace bowling was wayward - four NBs are unacceptable at that level.
Also the floodlights 'needed time to cool down before being put back on' the first two times but were back on pretty sharpish next time. Who knows...

Poor with the ball today but it’s a small out-ground. Probably too many.

We have struggled against the slow bowlers against Worcs and today.

Now then Paul you mentioned you haven't seen many memorable Glammy games. Chris Cooke in vintage form.

41 off the last 11 balls is mad. Dismal commentary from the Lancashire lot. Give Glammy some credit FFS.

Human nature. We’d be lamenting throwing that away. Great win.

Amazing last 2 overs - keeps Glamorgan just about alive in the competition!

I saw the scorecard as soon as McAndrew was out and thought no chance.
                            Unbelievable.

With the benefit of hindsight, McAndrew’s freakish run out was the best thing to happen to Glamorgan as it seemed to fire up Cooke and brought in Van Der Gugten who faced his three balls with great calmness.

That’s four last ball finishes in six and this last one is the most amazing chase I’ve seen - how many times out of a thousand does a side needing forty one from eleven balls win? I think we might have seen the one time it does.

I'm so pleased for Chris Cooke. 15 years with the club and still producing fireworks just as he did on his debut all those years ago.
