They're away at Cheltenham tonight in a titanic mid table must see extravaganza.

A win could see them potentially soar up to 9th place.

    That'll silence the doubters.
So it appears. I’m sure Slade will have a game plan to stifle the Barcelona of the Cotswolds.

See you all at 10pm tonight then.

        Of course.

        Cup games count.

Especially when Slade loses and it makes his record look even worse.

Good 3-2 away win for Russ and his disciples tonight.

Perhaps we disposed of him prematurely?

          lol..

            Up to 11th now.

Just caught his post match interview on sky sports news.

Sky: a good away win there. You must be delighted with the three points?

Russ: tell Hartley to stick that up his scrawny old arse. Goodnight.

Looks like Slade had a game plan to stifle the Barcelona of the Cotswolds then.

0-0 at home to the mighty Cambridge.

3rd goalless draw at home on the trot for the Mariners.

Apologies for the latest update on Slade Watch but I couldn’t get hold of anyone in Grimsby to find out the score as they had all gone to sleep.

A mere 4 points off the playoffs, all to play for.

I have to say, reading up on all the disdain for Slade makes me chuckle. Can't fault him for being a nice guy, but can fault him for so many other things.

Living abroad, I haven't been able to watch City nearly as much as I used to, but the last time I was back in the UK I went to a couple of home games. It was a 2-2 draw against Sheff Wed and I just remember being so dismayed by how second best we were and how there was no soul or passion in the team. That, and we scored from 2 set pieces without looking like scoring in any other way.

Also, his stubborn refusal to even consider playing youth team players (even when there was nothing to play for) really irritated me.

So you disappear when Slade gets a fine win then come scuttling back when it suits?

Does the J in your name stand for Jursset?

Even a bloke that lives 6004 miles away can see how shit Slade was.

Believe me mate that game was one of the highlights of Slade's tenure and was one of the few games I came away feeling I'd been entertained!

Another game, another blank for Grimsby.

This time in the FA Cup away to Plymouth where they lost 1-0.

Big Russ will have to wait at least another year and a bit if he’s to have another acknowledging nod of approval from a man of Arsene Wengers calibre.
