Under 21s level at Burnley 1-1 at half time, Cody Twose the scorer. The under 18s are 2-1 up with goals Japhet Matondo and Troy Perrett scoring against Coventry.

Joel Colwill’s last minute goal gets the under 21s a 2-2 draw at Burnley, while the Coventry under 18 keeper has equalised deep into stoppage time in a game where Dan Ola had given us a 3-1 lead - the game’s just finished, so City will be without a league win at senior, under 21 and under 18 level when we kick off against Sheffield Wednesday.

2 o clock kick off today for the under 21s game at Cardiff City Stadium against Barnsley. Free entrance to the ground and the game is being streamed as well.

Dozy first half from the under 21s. Barnsley should be a couple of goals ahead against a team that have not threatened at all, but it’s still 0-0. It is a very young side though with Semenyo possibly the oldest player in the starting eleven. Ashford is, understandably, playing as if this is an anti climax for him following Tuesday night.

Right at the start of the second half, City put their first decent move together and good work from Twose and Wigley sets up Ashford who does well to score.

Much better second half by City as they recorded their first win of the season thanks to a goal five minutes from time by Cook with a header from an Ashford corner.

He was the difference today, not greatly involved in the first half, but the best player on the pitch in the second half. Was surprised and impressed by his mobility, he was running past players from midfield in the last five minutes - add that to his basic talent and he has to have a good chance of making it.

Also impressed by the keeper Dennis, Beecher, Twose and Spiers who came on for the second half.

He was the difference today, not greatly involved in the first half, but the best player on the pitch in the second half. Dennis made a very good save in the first half

Felt like Ashford was the one most likely to make the difference first half. as well even if he was quiter Wasn't Beecher part of the Wales u17 Euros squad with Lawlor & Giles? Shows just how young that defence was today. They have plenty of time ahead of them to develop

Charlie Wellens, who had a trial with us, then looked like he was going to Reading, then was rumoured to be signing for us, has signed for Reading.

Yes, the three players you mentioned were in the Wales under17 squad this summer as was Twose.

They've finally updated the squad list on the official site - poor old Vontae doesn't even get a new shirt!
