  • Morison got his squad selection right today.

In that he gave the chance to be involved to older players some of whom are out of contract, to younger players who have recently been left out of the squad and to new guys.

We go into the rest of the season with a whole squad of players who have the right to think that might feature.

Shame he couldn't pick the ref or the VAR officials :hehe:

Denham played well. His performance made me wonder why Morison has persisted with Nelson for so long. But I can’t understand why King was selected ahead of Colwill.

I honestly can’t recall King doing anything of note today. Can’t recall hearing his name mentioned before he was subbed. That’s no reflection on him, he’s a kid making his debut at Anfield in a game where his side struggled to record 20% possession. But I can’t work out what Morison is doing with Colwill. And I’m not saying that in retrospect, either. Denham’s debut you could understand given Morrison’s injury, but King’s was a strange selection from the off.

I felt for King - I defy anyone to make a mark in a midfield alongside vaulks and pack the latter who always seems to receive the ball facing our goal no matter the direction the ball is passed to him.

Agree on Denham thought he grew into the game really well

Not sure we can afford two up top and Colwill at the moment - maybe his place in as one of a two that drops back

However not sure why he hasn't featured at all in the squad in the last couple of games

          Agree.

But we'll hear more about some word he adds into his interview that doesn't sound right with fans and he'll get picked apart for that one here instead..

He thanked the Cardiff fans for travelling but didn’t name them each individually……what a nob

Was surprised by the King selection in front of Bowen.

                  Hallelujah!

You said a Cardiff City player played well. This is most unusual.

You're right. I think King's first mention was when he was subbed.

Itv coverage was garbage though and not sure they would know all our players name well enough in commentary to pick what any of them did let alone King

He has fallen out with Colwill, this is why he has put him in the u23s again. You could see from the body language at the end yesterday things are not well between them, Kloop was more keen to congratulate him on his goal than Morison was.
