Re: Does The Side Look Better Without Kieffer Moore
Moores attitude was terrible this season .
Good to see players giving their all without a tantrum because a bad pass or refereeing decision going against them.
Hugill was top drawer last night.
I didnt like Moore at all in the end. Spoilt brat footballer. Too big for Cardiff in his mind, who we really needed at the time.
Re: Does The Side Look Better Without Kieffer Moore
Probably, but I'd like to have seen Moore in a side with Drameh, Doyle, Bagan etc. That's not possible and maybe him leaving meant we could strengthen?
Hugill has been great, and Uche is great fun. I hope Norwich stay up, if they do, I'd think we'd be in pole position to get him back.
The discussion on Moore has happened time and time again, you don't have to really read every thread to pick up on that I certainly don't and I've seen it discussed enough.
You can, of course, post what you want where you want, without cockyness as well :hehe:
Sarcastic jibes aren't your thing.
Trust me, sarcasm is very much my thing!

I don't really miss the 2021-22 Kieffer Moore, and if the choice is him or Hugill + Ikpeazu, then the latter every time.
But I was looking at some clips earlier today of Moore from last season. I had forgotten how good he was - pace, movement, close control and goals (some of them he made himself). That version of Kieffer Moore would have been brilliant with Dramah, Doyle, Bagan and Davies playing as they are now.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) that wasn't the player who engineered a move to Bournemouth.

I did the same re Moore, I saw his goal at home vs Coventry. It was absolutely superb, the pace to run the channel, chop inside to sell the defender and the finish. He was brilliant at times, and as you say he'd be brilliant with those extra players we've added. We wouldn't be anywhere near where we are now if he was the same player.
Re Bagan, (and Doughty), we've not really missed Giles, which would have been unthinkable 6 weeks ago.

Thought the first goal goal against Wycombe was his best, but that Coventry one showed that he is anything but a big immobile lump that you bang high balls up to - Wigan under Paul Cook were a footballing side and he was effective enough for them playing that way. I have a little sympathy with City because it was almost as if he’d downed tools at times this season, but he scored twenty Championship goals last year and you realise the fee we got for him was absolute peanuts when you watch the goals he scored for club and country in 20/21.
Re: Does The Side Look Better Without Kieffer Moore
We're playing better without him. Not sure how much that actually has to do with him though. We're just a better unit now. When I first saw him in pre-season or training, I was amazed how good he was with his feet. He obviously had a great season and did well for Wales. But in the last year, was he unfit? Or was he unhappy? Who knows? It wasn't working though I don't think we miss him.

I think this is important, we didn't just switch 1 player.
At the start of the season would Hugill have made us a better team, i doubt it (would any striker?). Did we miss Moore when he was out, I think so. Was Moore good when he did play, not really or not as good as he'd showed he could be.
I think the most significant changes have been wide and in the middle so I think the Moore enigma is irrelevant
