Not been anywhere near where he was last season.

Ejaria is an odd one. So much ability yet so little end product. Constantly in and out of the side with covid and niggly injuries but just two goals this season and I’m not sure he has any assists. It’s a very poor return for someone so gifted

Joao on his day is fabulous. Very skilful, strong on the ball and a fine finisher. When he’s not on his day he looks hopeless. Overall he isn’t far off averaging a goal every two games though which is terrific but you can always count on him to miss a big chunk of each season with injuries.

Holmes has really struggled and been at fault for a number of goals. Often outjumped or left flat footed. He may improve though as he is still young.
Presumably the first mentioned won't be signing for Spurs.

They were the better side for much of that game, some decent players

Posh are down. It’s then two from three. Barnsley signed Bassi in January and Morris is now fit. They are better for it. They have shown a lot more fight than us.
Saturday is huge. Barnsley are at Sheff Utd so I hope they lose. We are at home to a Blackburn side who haven’t scored away since their game at the CCS two months ago.As a bare minimum we need a point but we cannot defend for toffee.

Gut feeling we are going down. It just feels like a relegation season, points deduction, transfer embargo, worst Cup defeat in our history, worst home defeat in our history, over four months without a home win, our captain hung out to dry, Danny Drinkwater, Paul Ince, Andy Carroll.... it’s been a long season.

The thing with Derby is that the absolute maximum number of points they can get now is forty eight. If they were to show top two form from now on by averaging two points a game, they end up with forty, ten below the traditional target for avoiding the drop. It might be mind that forty will be enough this year, but to reach that Derby need to go on a run the like of which they’ve not managed in thirty eight matches so far this season.

I’ve just looked at your remaining fixtures and I’d prefer your run in to theirs (you never lose to us for a start!). As Michael says, Barnsley are the ones I’d be worried about in your position, there’s going to be more pressure on them when you go there though I reckon.

Peterborough and Derby to go down for me, with a toss up between you and Barnsly for the other place - it could be that the three points you gained in the twenty goal attempts to two match at Cardiff City Stadium save you!

I'd prefer Reading to stay up, but only because it's fairly easy to get to the away game.

Arent Reading likely to get another deduction next season?

                Good day for you yesterday.
That Barnsley away game is looking key now

Yep a bit of breathing space. We will probably go to the Barnsley game. Win and we are looking a lot safer. Lose and it’s squeaky. A draw would be ok.

Depends. If we stick with what the EFL have stipulated in our spending plans we will be ok. We will remain under a transfer embargo.
