I think he comes across as very dour during interviews and not someone you can take an instant liking to. Coupled with his error-prone displays at club level he makes a pretty obvious target for the boo boys. Not that I agree with booing a player from your own team mind.

Nah I disagree with you there RJK. Lots of Man Utd players have represented England over the years and they seldom receive the treatment Maguire does. I think it's a personal thing and to be frank he's quite an unpopular character with most sets of fans, so it's hardly surprising he comes in for some stick.

Ben White at Arsenal is having a pretty decent season.

Ben White looks really good in Arteta's Arsenal. I saw White play many times for Newport. I honestly didn't see him ending up at Arsenal.

Nah I disagree with you there RJK. Lots of Man Utd players have represented England over the years and they seldom receive the treatment Maguire does. I think it's a personal thing and to be frank he's quite an unpopular character with most sets of fans, so it's hardly surprising he comes in for some stick.

It's because he's not that good. And someone paid £80M for him. It's a joke. He's an old-fashioned lump. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that England underachieve. But in the '80s and '90s they didn't really have the talent and definitely didn't have the mentality. But now they're almost there. Harry Maguire doesn't fit in. If all the English players were available to Wales I wouldn't want him in the team.
