David Morgan shut in 2000's , I sold stuff to them , the staff were devastated but the offer they had from developers was too good to turn down.

And the Swiss cottage on fairwater Green was sometimes occupied in the daytime by kids who should've been in Cantonian... so I'm told!

Obviously, Wimpy’s were not as fattening as MacDonalds

I simply rembering not having money to buy such meals as they're bought now , it was a huge treat if your mum took you to Asteys or for a Wimpy now it's so much easier .

Great photos, but I looked at them thinking Cardiff hasn’t changed as much as I would have thought it had in fifty years.

David Morgan’s didn’t close in 1971 though did it, seems much more recent than that to me.

I was living in Fairwater from the early sixties and I can’t remember that Swiss Cottage ever being occupied.

You mis read the caption under the photo - it says on the last day before decimalisation, not closure.
