It’s a model thoughOriginally posted by the other bob wilson View PostHearing Johnson apologists claim his Government get “the big calls right” would be hilarious if the proof, like this, that they clearly do not wasn’t so tragic (let’s not forget the delays in autumn and Christmas 2020 as well).
Covid was found to have been in the UK in November, the first death is now confirmed to have been at Christmas, and the first case reported at the time was January, and yet people still think the magic March lockdown stopped an apocalypse, even though the R rate had fallen before the first LD.

What forces Covid into reverse? To many, the obvious answer is lockdown. Cases were surging right up until the start of the three lockdowns, we’re told. It’s often said that all else failed. The Prime Minister said on Tuesday that lockdown, far more than vaccines, explains the fall in hospitalisations, deaths and infections. But how

When you look at the way all the world's countries have attempted to handle Covid, all in their own different ways, the only thing you can say without fear of contradiction, is that it doesn't work - anywhere. Shut down early, shut down late- whatever, the results were the same. Trying to say things might have been better if we closed down a week earlier is just ridiculous.

Flat earthers FGS , it’s well known the infections were declining before lockdown, it’s obviously not going to be plastered over the media though is it ….. I’m not a fan of the government however facts are facts …Originally posted by the other bob wilson View Post:facepalm:

it was t just hindsight though, we had the unbelievable benefit of seeing it all unfold in Italy a few weeks before us and we didn't take advantage of that information. we basically hoped it would be different here for some reasonOriginally posted by bobh View PostEverybody has 20:20 hindsight

I find it amazing that people who lived through the event are now trying to rewrite history.Originally posted by tforturton View PostWhen you look at the way all the world's countries have attempted to handle Covid, all in their own different ways, the only thing you can say without fear of contradiction, is that it doesn't work - anywhere.
