Don't blame the lawyers, it's all down to the sentencing guidelines and the judges' interpretation of them.
If you want make money as a solicitor or barrister you really don't want to go into criminal law.

Not really one for 'lock em up and throw away the key', but this is an appalling crime and ten years seems very lenient, and to be released after only half that, pretty outrageous. Good to see Raab intervene on this. At the very least the boy should be well into adulthood before they are released.

Keep them inside. Should both definitely be sterilised aswell. Surely you can't allow the possibility of another child being born to either of them.

Keep them in, primarily for the crimes they've committed, but also for their own safety.
Even if they were released and given new identities, with such unique facial features (I'm being kind), they'd soon be hunted down and be given a bit of what they dished out.
