Whats that thing around his neck? I'm not sure I've seen one before.
Also, the Ballon d'Or really is quite an unattractive trophy. Reminds me of a wooden football prize I got once for winning something, that my then missus immediately banished to the cupboard.
Incidentally; the three British clubs to have had a Ballon d'Or winner is quite a good quiz question..

This may seem like bad timing but Benzima doesn't look like a natural footballer with the ball at his feet. He doesn’t look like a clean striker of the ball either. I can't think of a worse winner of this honour in the last 20 years
Do such awards really mean anything though? Sport is about winning on the field first and foremost.
As for the Hall of Fame bollocks in the music world, it seems an absolute and irrelevant nonsense.

Don't know if its as true in the UK as France but some of the players from the have real problems with their childhood "mates" in their French banlieue (Benzema was from Bron in Lyon).
The mates think that the players owe them something as they were in primary school together. The players don't refuse as they don't want to be seen as having forgotten their roots. It's typical for players to pay "bodyguards" or "advisors" and they don't do anything but get money. Benzema was approached by old acquaintances with a plan to blackmail a French international teammate. He went along with it and was later found guilty in court.
.
Pogba was bought up in the east of Paris.
He was asked (threatened according to him) to pay 13m EUR for his bodyguards. They wanted 3m immediately. He was all for paying but failed to get this out of the ATM but he did get 100k from a bank. Pogba's brother is now trying to blackmail him along with some mates. The brother claims that Paul asked for a marabout (~witchdoctor) to put a spell on Mbappe. Pogba said that he did ask for help but only for himself to heal or play better (I forget which).
Apparently it's a real problem to different extents for many players.
