Unbelievable dream for Colwill & Harris, Harris especially. Colwill has shone more for Wales than the City on times and to get in even after so little game time maybe understandable. But Mark Harris must be walking on air, what a massive highlight in his young life to be on his way to a World Cup Finals Tournament whether he gets on the pitch or not. Really is a moment to cherish. I wonder if some Sheffield United players will be looking at him this weekend thinking, “F*ck me, he’s going to Qatar?”

Maybe mcburnie will target him to stop him going to the world Cup - wouldn't put it past him

Glad they are taking williams and gunter - not enough sentiment in sport now. These two have been constants when fit and deserve this last chapter and as someone else says how many of that squad will be needed as whilst I hope I am wrong we won't be going very far in the tournament

That's a weak squad on paper, especially with Rambo, Bale, and Allen in rapid decline, maybe one win against USA or Iraq would be an expected result, anything else a bonus?

Would normally agree about Williams in general but apparently he's hit a rich vein of form for Swindon recently.
I suppose you'd rather an experienced player in a bit of form, than chancing a young lad who might be over-awed.

I’m glad Colwill and Harris have been picked but must consider themselves lucky as neither has been regular first team football recently. As Cyril Evans said, Wes Burns has been playing consistently well for Ipswich and must feel pissed off.

Colwill will probably get injured again.

The sum is greater than its parts.
We are rag tag as fcuk, our major players are old(ish) and past their best.
They are a cohesive unit though that will lay it all on the line.

In the Euros we had the benefit of a training camp before the tournament to look at players which is what got Colwill in the squad. We have very little prep time so he's taking people he trusts. This isn't FIFA or Football Manager where you just pick the 26 best players

Why are they uncapped? Why hasn't Cooper made the squad? It's a bit of a Catch-22 if the manager doesn't pick them, while he selects other "loyal" players for being loyal.

It's a tricky fixture because it's in the middle of the USA and England games. Will the players lacking fitness be rested or will they be saved for the Iran game?
