Agree, likes of Gunter and Williams have done a job for Wales in the fairly distant past.

Given their call ups in qualifying it's not a surprise, others though should have had the nod ages ago and given their chance. Perhaps then they would be able to offer more to the squad than essentially taking cheerleaders. Our better players are mostly unfit as it is.

Iran running away with it, pushing 250* so far this year, US really need to pull their socks up and if they want to be taken seriously, lagging behind with about 15 so far.

Think that's the strongest squad we've put out in any of the tournaments we've qualified for recently.

If we can have no late injury dramas, hopefully our experience and quality will get us at least 4 points from the first two games which should be enough. England hitting some form would be handy for us as well, give the other two teams a pasting.

            All two of them?

I think how prime Bale and Ramsey were in 2016 makes that squad stronger.

2016 easy, most, if not all of the 13 or 14 starters were regular for their clubs, a lot playing in top tiers as well. I think this is our weakest squad.

                This is all irrelevant.
England have already won the group.
All the pundits were saying so after their squad was announced.
And they're never wrong, are they.

Shame that Luke Harris has pulled out of being one of Wales' 2 back-up players. I thought that was a good compromise:

Swansea's Ollie Cooper will join Birmingham's Jordan James in travelling to the World Cup as a back-up player for Wales as Luke Harris misses out.

Oli Cooper now going to Qatar following Luke Harris pulls out of squad.

Oli Cooper will be joining the team to Qatar as a travelling standby player. Luke Harris will no longer be travelling with the squad in that role due to personal reasons. #ArBenYByd | #TogetherStronger https://t.co/0VRFuzk7xU

Luke Harris wasn't in the squad - was going as a tea boy with Jordan James, for the experience. Oli Cooper is the new tea boy.

I think one of them can join the squad as a 'first reserve' before the first game against USA if one of the 26 named players withdraws, but my understanding is that after that time no replacements are allowed. Is that right?

Luke Harris withdraws as stand by and replaced by Cooper.

They state personal reasons, people saying he’s pissed off and will switch to England.
