Dunno about Maradona in the air. He had a bit of a reputation in that regard.
Peles header v Italy in the 1970 world cup is a work of art

And the way he got up to power that header in v Italy ? Incredible strength and timing

He was incredibly strong , fit and an athlete, best , Maradona were great skilful players but off their heads half the time

Pele conducted himself gracefully and will be remembered as the greatest by most football fans
Best was, maybe, the greatest ever British player, but I wouldn’t consider him a true candidate for best footballer ever - he was a superb header of the ball though.

He and Maradona couldn't touch the all round skills of Pele and both were known for their skills on the floor . Pele was the complete footballer .

In my humble opinion CR7 is the best due to his records , fitness, age ,

CR7 played in a lesser skilled team than Pele's Brasil ..

CR7 played and delivered accross many major tougher leagues, yes Pele played and scored many times for Santos and New York Cosmos ( question is are they the same quality of CR7 team and leagues )

CR7 has played left, right wing and centre forward probably play midfield as well, supreme in the air, free kick freak, dribble past players with ease .

              CR7 has 819 goals in 1,143 games

Pele: 757 goals in 831 games..

If you're using goals per game stats, Pele's is stronger (much stronger).

CR7 (sounds like a postcode), played/plays in an era where he was protected from leg breaking tackles and pitches you could play snooker on, oh and footballs that don’t absorb water

Nuf said, Pele is the greatest footballer of all time and anyone who disagrees knows frigg all about the history of the game

Maradona for me. We can talk about ability all day, none of us would end up agreeing. But when it comes to dragging ordinary players towards greatness, and fans alike, then there isn't anyone who can touch him in my opinion. He thrived on conflict, being the underdog.

                              He also thrived on cocaine

                              And was also a cheat

If someone is to be judged about greatness it must take in how they behave as well as any great skill they have

                              Pele trumps everyone on this

UK wise players like Lineker will be remembered as much for the fact they were gents and in Linekers case was never booked as much as they were for great skills

I don't care what drugs people take, as long as they're not Ped's. Cocaine certainly isn't performance related, it's good for the police though as the right to remain silent after a sesh on the beak doesn't exist! As an aside, do you think that way of all Art, musicians, genius' etc. Because if you do, then you had better get the James Blunt album out and put in on a loop, or is it just conveniently Genius footballers. You bigged up george best earlier whose drug addiction killed him.

As for Cheating, well have a look how Maradona was assaulted on a football pitch, it's on Youtube, we are talking the stuff of prison sentences.
