    Re: Transfer embargo confirmed

I think I read this a bit different to the rest of you. I think Dalman is signalling that we will pay - despite saying there is no intention to do so. The club clearly has an intention to get *something* out of negotiations but still pay. God knows what that is though.

Can’t see this as a problem, would you trust our ‘transfer committee’ to sign anyone decent?

Either Hudson starts getting results or we make a move . Hudson a good guy and may with time be a good manager ....but time is something that's running out
I can see Warnock being in charge come January.

You make a fair point about the transfer committee but their call was turn down Warnock's request to sign Sala. Warnock, desperate to sign him, went behind the committee's back, appealed directly to Tan who agreed to the transfer. You could argue that the mess we are in is as a result of Warnock's insistence that we sign Sala and Tan's failure to back his transfer committee. Now, through tragic circumstances, we find ourselves in a transfer embargo which Tan must consider to be acceptable collateral damage in pursuit of legal measures which have failed so far and a further proposed legal measure which seems unlikely. With the benefit of 20/20 hindsight one could say the committee made the right call.

I don’t think the transfer committee have done that badly with who they have bought in really considering the money we have spent. Yes it’s not been perfect but since Warnock left I think the signings have been better. I think the issue has been not bringing in enough strikers and not getting a decent manager in.

                  Re: Transfer Embargo

Bit of a flippant remark by me. Robinson has been decent, for one but it’s the whole management/boardroom ineptitude that I was attempting to allude to.

If this becomes really protracted it is possible FIFA will move onto a points deduction.

                      Totally agree (maybe not Warnock)

Players can be sold but we cannot buy, or loan players if we have to pay their wages. Unattached players can be signed.

This leads to the supplementary question ..will City sell any player assets to pay this Sala bill. Robinson, Colwill and Davies come to mind immediately.
Also, will Kipre, Nkounkou and Philogene have to go back to their parent clubs? Of that I'm.not sure.

Is it not the case that the club are in no way responsible for Salas death, and therefore should not be liable? A dodgy agent, and his mate, showed a total disregard for somebody’s safety, and ultimately caused his death. Maybe insurance companies/ brokers think these are the people who should be paying up….not them.

We have (for me), got no left backs, 1 centre back (and he isn't our player), 2 right backs (Ng), 2 centre mids, 2 wingers and 2 strikers. The rest (I'm not sure about Alnwick) aren't up to it or are young lads. The squad is terrible but the first choice side is OK. They've not got anything about them though, soft underbelly. We could do with getting Morrison back in, someone with a bit about them.

Allsop, Romeo, Ng, Kipre, Wintle, Ralls, Philogene, O'Dowda, Robinson and Etete (based off the last two appearances) would get in other sides in this division. Colwill and Davies might. Harris is probably a squad player for bottom half sides based off his work ethic. Whyte, Ojo, Sawyers, Simpson, Nelson, Nkounkou, Watters etc are not up to it and I just don't think Rino can play.

We have 27 players or something. They’ve throw shit at the walls and hope some it sticks. If we had a 22 man squad, we would have £2.5m more in wages saved. They are incompetent. We have so many players that aren’t up to it
