Ahhh I loved Pele when I was a kid, we didn't know the Brazilian players so much back then so there was much more of an element of mystique which made him so so special and that yellow Brazilian shirt was the first thing I can ever remember seeing in colour on the TV.

RIP and thanks for showing us how football can be played.

My first memory of him was him being kicked out of the 1966 World Cup, but four years later he showed just what he could do - fantastic player, it really was a beautiful game in 1970.

Good age , for man whose health has been a challenge in his later years .. he leaves behind some wonderful memories of a glorious Brasil team , that were so skilful , new and refreshing to watch as a young lad .. not as good as the City side that beat Real Madrid, but close enough..

One of the greatest ever players to grace the game and considered the G.O.A.T. during his playing days and my schooldays.
