People can still struggle mentally regardless of their position in life

If he’s genuinely struggling I don’t think anyone should belittle that, and same goes for anyone.

Yeh, it’s not like he didn’t try. He was just shit, like so many of them. I imagine after working so hard to get there, to stink the place out like they did is hard to take. Maybe Aaron should find a club closer to home…

I could be wrong on this but wasn't Ramsey one of the players who ran the furthest distance on the pitch vs Iran?

He deserves better than comments like this.

If true then I wish him all the best.

May be premature this though, all I've seen is someone at Nice mention something about him not returning yet. We were all down after it and I'm sure the players more so. Doesn't necessarily mean he's in a dark place or anything.

Aaron Ramsey has not returned to club side Nice since Wales' World Cup exit, manager Lucien Favre has confirmed.

Favre said the former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder was finding it "hard to digest" his country's failure to reach the knockout stages in Qatar.

Ramsey has not played since Wales' final group game on 29 November - a 3-0 defeat by England.

"He is taking his time to really recover - that's it," said Favre of the 32-year-old, who has 78 caps for Wales.

"He was very disappointed with the World Cup."
Aaron Ramsey is finding Wales' World Cup exit "hard to digest" and is yet to return to club side Nice, says manager Lucien Favre.

                    Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation

Ramsey is one of the bravest players I’ve seen. In fact, I struggle to think of anyone else who looks to take on more responsibility when he and his team are struggling - you could argue that he takes on too much. He’s always done it and, while he wasn’t above criticism by any means in the WorldCup, to think being lazy is one of the charges to be laid against him is to seriously misjudge him I’d say.

If Ramsey is suffering mentally after the World Cup, I don’t think he will be alone among the Welsh squad, management and coaching - being as bad as we turned out to be in a tournament the country had been waiting over sixty years for must have been so hard to take because no one saw it coming.

Good grief! Even an advocate of free speech would surely have engaged their brain before their fingers before committing this to eternity

To suggest he's suffering some form of medical depression is questionable. He hardly played for his last 2 clubs, and hasn't bothered to return to Nice a month after Wales exit. Loads of players are gutted and upset - including all those Championship club players for Wales who also saw their dreams and hopes vanish in 3 awful games.

I dread to think what monkfish's view is on that.
