Next match: Pre-season. Saturday, July 11th | FC Midtjylland (H) @ Cardiff City Stadium, 12:30pm -
All pre-season fixtures
Lots of justified talk about the Championship being poor this season, but I don’t think it’s a vintage Premier League either - that game between first and third a couple of days ago was an absolute shocker.

I didn’t see that game but it was obviously an exception. Both Arsenal and Newcastle have been great to watch this season, as have most Premier League games.

Agree , Man City, Arsenal and a few other games are exceptionally good quality on a consistent basis.

agree the prem games i,ve seen have been outstanding this season
It’s really entertaining this year as a number of clubs outside the big six are playing exciting, competitive football - the likes of Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Villa and Leeds are really good to watch.
I notice Forest are now up to 15th. Didn’t see that coming. Fair play to Steve Cooper.
I was looking back at the Racing Post’s pre-season guide a few days ago. Arsenal were available at 66/1 for the title before the campaign started and none of the pundits thought they would make the top four. The fact that they’ve done so well up to now is really adding to the entertainment.
Maybe it's down to me being as off football now as I've ever been since I first got into it at the age of seven. The npn stop disputing of referee's decisions, diving, wrestling at corners and showing of imaginary cards by players and managers in the Premier League really reduces the spectacle in my opinion.

All of which also happens in the Championship to greater or lesser degrees.

To a much lesser degree.
In your opinion. But not in mine.
Some are just as bad in Championship, such as disputing refereeing decisions and diving, while I believe the wrestling at corners is worse at this level as there is no VAR and players know they can easily get away with it.
no thank you...six defeats on the trot.......never rated him.....why this obsession with him because he is a local man?
He's been in charge for 5 games only, 1 of which was a cup tie, which he won. We know you don't rate him but at least give him the credit of not assigning all Southampton's woes & loses at his door.
