Some are just as bad in Championship, such as disputing refereeing decisions and diving, while I believe the wrestling at corners is worse at this level as there is no VAR and players know they can easily get away with it.
What difference has VAR made to the wrestling at corners in the Premier League? You get the very occasional penalty given for it at levels including the Premier League, but if VAR was a truly effective deterrent, you wouldn’t see any of it in the that division any more. Instead, VAR’s main use is for things like deciding whether someone’s elbow is offside as they’re kicking the ball into the net. VAR, especially as it’s applied in the Premier League, has made the game less of a spectacle.

I wasn’t defending VAR. I’d like to see it done away with. However, I do believe there is less wrestling at corners in the Premier League than there is in the Championship and I believe VAR is a factor in that respect.

Did you see the incident the other day when Ciaran Clark of Sheffield Utd literally had the shirt pulled off his back by a Wigan defender? I’ve never seen that happen in the Premier League.

I do wonder what would have happened with us in the PL with corners if VAR was in place.

Would we have got any decisions particularly against the big clubs. I remember one game at Anfield Ben Turner was literally wrestled every single set piece.

I remember an interview with an ex referee a few years ago and he was asked about the lets face it fouls at set pieces. He said they classed it as feeling for the opponent

Škrtel that was, he just did what he liked at every set piece. Poor, poor refereeing, once he got away with it once he had a field day.

The Premier League is a plastic fans delight

And the chasm between the greedy bastards funded by your subscriptions and the rest of football is an absolute disgrace

I would love Everton to go down and suffer as long as possible as it was they that were one of the original money grabbers

As far as I am concerned you can stick it up your arse
