He’ll surprise any Saint Etienne fans who think they are signing a defender.

Him in front of O'Dowda? Too obvious 🙄

Agreed but we haven’t really played with proper wingers for a while

If McGuinness is on his way back, I'd leave Sang at Rb and play Ng at Lb, allowing Odowda to play further up field.

As a wing back idea, looked out most creative player at times. Sadly always looked like he had a mistake in him as well.

Yes, could be exposed positionally, but that should come with experience, whereas the creativity he could produce you've either got or haven't.
If he was our player I'd have been very excited about him as a prospect - as it is we'd be taking the hit on his defensive issues and developing a really good player for someone else potentially, so not really worth it for us at this point in time.

I wou;dn't be at all surprised to see him do well in the future though

                Re: Nkounkou

Saint-Etienne currently bottom of Ligue 2!

They have traditionally been one of the big clubs in French football, with a stadium capacity just short of 42,000.
Seems they got relegated last season in the relegation play-offs that they have in France... lost out on a penalty shootout too - ouch!

:hehe: considering he’s a decent footballer, it’s mightily impressive just how bad he is as a left back

I'm looking forward to him doing panto.

                    "Where's their winger?"

                    "He's behind you...."
