  • Roy Keane

Seriously, I'd consider him right now.
He'll rub a few up the wrong way, but we'd probably play 4 at the back and we'd certainly have no slackers.

Six months ago I'd have said never, but right now, he could be what we need for 18 months or so.

Whatever he says to the contrary, I think he likes his present life a bit too much to jump back into the grinder of League management. Same with Shearer.

If the only criteria for a new manager is the ability to shout at players, then they may aswell employ Dai Hunt.

He was close to joining Sunderland not long ago and didn’t because he couldn’t get everything he wanted, doubt we could offer him what he wants either. Not that I’d want him anyway.

Shearer, yes. I'd say Keane has a lot more about him than Shearer but his temperament is obviously a concern.
I'd take a chance on him over the vast majority of what we're being linked with though.
I reckon he's happy making telly money these days though.

Well the football world thinks I am right or he would be in management

He's washed out and can't handle the stress like a lot of TV pundits

Listen to yourself What do you know, or any of us for that matter. His record in management is decent enough, especially his time at sunderland. Ipswich not so great, although they were on the slide, he managed a couple of mid table finishes and they struggled in his third year. His signings and management style took sunderland from the bottom of the Championship to league champions and then survival in the premier league. But he's crap and the football world agrees with you... **** me...
