His signings and management style took sunderland from the bottom of the Championship to league champions and then survival in the premier league. But he's crap and the football world agrees with you... **** me...

He was given a huge war chest of money at Sunderland

Morison could have done OK with what Keane had

Do you have some kind of obsession with him ?

          Far from it.
6 months ago I'd have been dead against even considering him.

Right now though, we need a manager with contacts and a profile in the game as we can't spend money and are dependent on loans or frees.

We also need a manager that won't take any shit, and will grind the best out of what we have, without playing silly formations and employing silly tactics.

Keane likely wouldn't last much past a year, but he could be the right man for no more than an 18 month contract.

Can you imagine Roy Keane having to take video calls from Vincent tan? I’d pay good money to watch them

"Roy why haven't we scored from our own half?"

Would never work. Any self respecting manager either has to take stuff like that with a pinch of salt or simply can't work with the owner

He was in football management as a number 1 for a total of 5 years. In that time he won the Championship with Sunderland.

You might not rate him but that's not shite.

If you want shite have a look at the majority of managers Tan has installed here.

Are you trying to suggest our owner doesn't know a good manager when he sees one?

Keane in a 5 year dabble at management, did manage to achieve something Warnock couldn't in a 40 year career, in keeping a team in the top division.
