  • Hugill going to Rotherham

Fine by me. We don't need another striker who can't score. We've got enough players to help with build up play.

Bad news for us. A player who would improve us massively and a player who will strengthen a rival.

If he would improve us that much, how come Norwich are happy to let such a talent leave during a promotion push? It's hardly as if he was turning away better offers than Rotherham, either.

His scoring record over several seasons is shit.

Norwich also leaving Cantwell leave during a promotion push.

Hes probably on big money and they are happy to get his wages off the book.

Ive read a report other Championship clubs wanted Hugill.

He would have made a massive difference to us. In my opinion just what we need.

Norwich are chasing promotion while we are freefalling to the lower leagues.

Because they've got three better strikers in Pukki, Sargeant and Idah. His contract is up at the end of the year and he obviously wants security - Rotherham being able to provide this with a 3 year contract.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Norwich don't have a striker lined up to replace Hugill, what with them being a forward thinking club not subject to a transfer embargo.

Hugill improved the side last season and was a big part of us staying up. He would clearly improve the side. His 'shit' goalscoring record over several seasons is comparable to our best striker (Robinson) and much better than Harris' and Etete's.

He is 30 and whilst he's at the bum end of his career a player like him who doesn't quite cut it in the top flight would have done a good job for a team like us

He's a skillful player , nice link ups

I believe CR will stick the ball away , he's being asked to do everything at the moment , needs a partner

He is better or more of a fit than any of our current strikers

He would have gone straight into the team no doubt about it.

                  More bad news from Norwich

                  This is blatant discrimination

I think he would have done the business

The way I look at it is would he have been an improvement on what we have?

                      Without doubt for me.

Let's hope we've got irons in the fire for, in the clubs opinion, a better striker. If we've not then it isn't worth thinking about.

                        Would have improved us.

Not the most prolific but being realistic we're hardly going to be bringing in a prolific championship striker.

He would have chipped in with the scoring and probably linked play better than Etete currently can.

He's a different option to what we have.

But with Robinson he's a similar type of player. I don't see the two working together. Robinson can provide but Hugill isn't one to benefit from that. I think most of us agree that Robinson isn't an out and out striker so isn't the one to benefit from Hugill.

So it would be either Robinson or Hugill and there's only one winner. Once Isaak Davies is back at full speed that would be a far better option with Robinson, because of his pace and because I reckon he's a better finisher. Etete has the potential with his height to work well with Robinson as well.

They are not similar and previously had a successful partnership at Preston.

Preston fans loved Jordan Hugill and Callum Robinson during their time at North End - now they’re reuniting at West Bromwich Albion.

Far better than the current focal point of our attack.
