    Re: Why?

Maybe Sir Tom could rewrite a few lines.
    For example,
I crossed the street, she stood there laughing, and like grownups we popped out for a coffee and discussed our differences.

Spot on, another example of sports gesture politics up there with kick out racism

            Re: Why?

Whatever the reasons behind it, the more Tom Jones and max boyce 70s BS and glittery hat nonsense that welsh rugby moves on from the better

I enjoy both games but If rugby isn’t good enough to survive the millennium stadium not being a giant pub singing a song about domestic violence, so be it.

              Re: Why?

Complete over reaction of course, by cultural puritans that will achieve absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Apart from the words "my my my Delilah hardly anyone knows the significance or even knows the words. It's woke nonsense but the WRU obviously felt they had to make a hollow and easy gesture in the hope it would ward off misogyny accusations.

                    Re: Why?

But this is culture war stuff in a capsule. The WRU is essentially making explicit what they have put in place for a number of years, excluding it from the tannoy for almost a decade and quietly telling guest choirs not to sing it for a couple of years.

It shows the parlous state of its administration that it thought that this was a quick win in its efforts of rehabilitation. You don't have to have LoM's dubious moral code to agree with Rees-Zamitt's pithily observed reaction that of all things things they could have done to begin to exorcise the WRU's toxic culture they started with this.

I think all violent films should now be destroyed expect: Driller Killer , Chain Saw Massacre, Straw Dogs, Clockwork Orange pieces of art so badly misunderstood. ..

Straw Dogs, what a film (the un-cut version)

That's not the narrative here. The song is being erased because woke people don't like domestic violence and murder.

Will be interesting to see how loudly it is sung tomorrow now.

Tbf the atmosphere at Wales rugby games is frequently shocking so maybe this will rally the crowd a bit..?
