Like you, I hope our new manager has the time and resources to eke out enough wins to save us.

Ps I was amazed how improved Brum were last night. Shows what difference a win or two make.
I was impressed with the way Birmingham came back in the second half of their away game at Swansea.

They certainly didn't look like a team short of confidence.

Mental line up. Ralls has his work cut out. Looks like we are going for it.

Would prefer O'Dowda further forward but can understand it in the absence of an actual LB. Ralls and Sawyers in the middle though?

Interesting to see Wintle and Ng both on the bench. Not undroppable!

Colwill still out with that minor training injury - or even more dropped?

I suppose it’s not different to previous games just Ralls replacing Wintle.

Injured or not I don’t think Colwill makes the bench atm.

Sawyers picked for the third time by Lamouchi - and he played the full 90+ minutes against Luton and Hull.

I had real hopes when he was signed. He has disappointed. But despite his lack of pace and languid style he is one of the most skillful in the squad. If Lamouchi can get him playing to his best consistently (and he must see things in training that he likes) we would have a real midfield creator. None of the other options have the technical ability of Sawyers - but they do have the things he's missed so far this season. A gamble - that hopefully comes off.

Birmingham have grabbed 2 wins on the quick

We need that now , not in a few games time

It's not the fans fault , social media or the local press

It's the stupid decision to replace Mad Mick with a trainee manager and the even more stupid decision to replace him with another

We now have the situation where a new manager who it appears has some presence and skill about him is left with a right bag of soggy peas to make something of .

I will be absolutely amazed if we beat Boro today . If we do it will be fantastic for the club and the fans .

But it must be followed up quickly by more points at Birmingham .

Because if we don't beat Boro or Birmingham then we must start to begin preparing for relegation as that is what will be happening .
I'm always happy to give them a go (new managers) but I agree we should never have gone down that route in hindsight (or just maybe not at all)

Lamouchi is saying all the right things, he's had a response of sorts from the players in a short time, he's got Romeo back in today hopefully that helps, O'Dowda isn't a LB but he slots in better than Simpson for definite.

He's dropped Wintle which will please some, but kept Sawyers which will baffle just as many I suppose. Let's hope he finds his midfield pairing soon.

Shows Kaba BEHIND Robinson in a 4411 on both sources I've seen...maybe it's lump it up to knock it down...

I can understand Ng being dropped, as if we are going to play a low block and direct football then he probably doesn't get in ahead of Romeo or McGuiness.

Wintle I personally would have kept, but he's not been playing that well

In what respect? (We know O'Dowda is at LB so not that..)

We'll effectively be relying on each of the bottom 3 doing worse than us over the next 15/16 games. Can't see that happening. Despite some on here and the other place claiming they'd be quite happy following the City in league 1, I think it will be really sad considering the last 20 or so years we've had.

Archer hasn't scored in 5 for them.

He's the one I'll have my eye on..then there's Akpom who's been moved further back and scored 12 in the last 15 as same as he had in his first 100...so he's another one to watch.

                                Weirdly looking forward to this.
