he is a professional, I wouldn't think he would loss match fitness while doing football training

WalesOnline said he hasn’t been training with the side. Perhaps that has changed recently. Kaba has at least been training. If he doesn’t sign in time for Reading, I struggle to see what the point is.

Ask any footballer what it’s like in your first real game after 2 months out, and they’ll tell you they’ll feel miles off it.

Wickham played his last game for FGR on Dec 10th, so he’s not played a game in over 2 months.

It doesn’t imply that he is in very high demand though does it, but we ARE desperate I suppose…..

Maybe it’s the opposite. Perhaps Wickham’s had other offers and is weighing up his options.

It is odd that this hasn’t been sorted out yet though. Maybe Ken Choo’s been too busy selling cars to sign players.

I said that.Warnock could nip in our McCarthy.Then on the other hand he could still have fitness problems.
Someone on the other board said there was another striker training with us as well as a couple of other players including a left back.
Let's hope its true.

Speaking from experience you are always vulnerable to injury when playing for the first time after a long layoff. Given Wickham's injury record it would be advisable to break him in gently.

Cardiff’s application to register Connor Wickham has been sent to the EFL. For whatever reason, the club are still waiting on the league.

I’m told he’s travelled with the squad to Birmingham. Whether his registration is ratified in time, I guess we’ll see in a few hours’ time.

Keith's report on the meeting with Dalman on Saturday stated that the EFL had not exactly been supportive as far as the embargo was concerned. Perhaps this is an example of this lack of support. Also Ridsdale is on the board of the EFL. Is he putting he boot in ?
