Didnt he go into hiding after packing Kav on a helicopter for 500k or thereabouts.??
Debt is good.🤣
He couldn't take the club over for free let alone £30m.
Please tell me our trust didn't entertain him and his ego.

Also the fact that many never did return or some took years, the customers didn’t just come back straight away for the game v Fulham was it?
I did, but something didn’t feel the same anymore. It was a habit I thought was hard to break, but in fact it was easy, and it’s got easier as time went on to this almost apathetic state.

I haven’t got a clue, I never knew or met the guy. Remember everyone then thinking the £20 million debt was the end of the world though and it really wasn’t. Speculate to accumulate as the old saying goes, he had faults but he was well and truly shafted by PMG and the council over the ground and retail park….who did get control of that lucrative site eh?

No. Just no. He said debt was good.
He wasnt Shafted by anyone.

How was he shafted :xmashehe: Cardiff Council to their credit did their due diligence and simply didn’t want to go down the Merton Council route and end up with a Wimbledon F.C scenario.

After all it was the other forum that was a big part of leading the ‘back to blue’ protests that 100% was correct in their aims.
I’ve seen very little on Twitter tbh, except someone who shared a post by *****, but that wasn’t about a protest

With hindsight option 2 is too late, it will take seasons to get us back on a proper trajectory. So I think option 3 will be popular and hit him like a ton of bricks 25/26.
you forget option 4, make Tan a offer and buy the club :xmashehe:
but seriously, as ive said in the past, option 2 only works if the supplier listens / cares ( Tan doesnt appear to )
so you are left with option 1, see what happens and accept it for what it is, Option 3, find something else to do with your time ( ive said it before, a local non-league team would love your support and money )

Yes I know a certain section of our fans would welcome him back as the messiah, he had them all dangling like puppets for so long they cant see the wood from the tree's
its like Groundhog Day, a bit of Drama and Sam arrives ( on his white charger ) in the county and the usual suspects get together to stroke his ego
I wonder what was discussed ? ? I guess only the chosen few will know

Out of the game or not, I’d back Hammam’s knowledge of the game and what makes a successful club over Tan’s any day of the week, but I agree with you - Hammam’s time at the club has ended and his return would improve nothing, I somehow can’t see him making any debt to equity conversions.

This thread is enough to make you slit your wrists. Unless you’re a glory hunter, then you are stuck with your team for life.
Through thick and thin.
I’ve got a novel idea. Those making the trip to Watford today, myself included, let’s do something left field at this most toxic of times, with moral at an all time low, and get right behind the manager and team from the first minute to the last.Otherwise, what’s the point of going and spending our hard earned?
Our owner might be a cu*t, our manager might be shite, and the players might be just average, but not one of them will not try today.
They will be low on confidence, and probably fearing a backlash.
Being a supporter is not just about the good times.

Didn’t he recklessly just throw money at everything until he couldn’t afford it anymore, “debt that went with him when he left” until he then continuously took us to court to recoup it for “Langston”.
I wouldn’t say we were a well run club under him, didn’t we have to stop Thorne playing incase he scored because of a 10k bonus per goal, Kav shipped away on a helicopter, even Dave Jones agreed a deal with Ridsdale to come as manager and Sam walked in to double it for no apparent reason.
Not to say they weren’t absolutely brilliant times, a brilliant ride, amazing time to be a fan.
However I never thought of him as an intelligent owner.

I’ll be going nowhere near the shitehole that is Watford today. The club is fuc*ed from top to bottom. I’ve spent my last pound at the CCS..
Good luck with the booing, jeering , marching and any other form of protest. You’ll all be pissing into the wind with a dictator like ours.
The only way to make him take notice, is a few completely empty stadiums for the home games.
Good luck with that though, because we couldn’t even do that for the rebrand farce..

I’m a Trust member and was not happy that Keith was there. I have made enquiries of the Trust and, apparently, Keith was there in a personal capacity and not as a Trust rep. So, the Trust not meeting him. However, Keith was outnumbered by Supporters Club and Disabled Supporters Group reps so what was their position?

Bill i don't blame you for not reading my posts, but i'm in the same camp as you, i'm not going anywhere near the club until something changes, not interested. I'll still watch games on the box, but wont be setting foot in the stadium.

We have been here before though! I can't think of any circumstance of our current predicament where Hammam offers a solution. In my opinion, based on the push back from the previous meeting, it was a misjudgement from the Chair of the Trust to be sucked back in to a similar perceived conflict of interest.

Quite. However ive no objection with the trust meeting whoever the hell they like.
What is difficult to defend is Keith claiming (or others claiming on his behalf after being outed by AA for attending) that it had nothing to do with the trust whatsoever. He's the chairman of the trust and dare I say it wouldn't have been invited as a random individual. What other random individuals were invited then?
I do have some sympathy for those saying AA and sam have played Keith and he's fallen for it but at the same time- was he born yesterday? Could he really not see such an obvious trap from those 2?

Hopefully it's bollox and they didn't meet up with Sam.
At the moment we are an absolute disaster in all aspects of the club.
I'm sure the next feck up is close mind.

Can you imagine Tan going to watch our youth matches on a wet and windy night in Treforest? I was always amazed to hear that SH often went to the kids games….plenty of faults he had for sure, don’t we all…..I’d swap what we had in 2004 for what we have now in a heartbeat…

Wonder who “they” are? And that’s coming from someone who regularly posts the word “they”, in this instance I have no clue…was it big gwyn in his red turncoat?

Believe it or not, debt is good. If you run a business or can get multiple mortgages then you’re lucky no? If you can’t get a mortgage I’d say your pretty f*cked in this current world.

Cardiff council and due diligence now that’s two phrases that don’t go together. Sam was in with Goodwage, all rosey then he lost his seat. Was it Berman who took over then? Strangely refusing SH permission he needed but instead giving it to his taffia mates at PMG who were more than happy to reap those rewards with Ridsdale….cue a financial melt. Who knows what really went down but from what I heard via people I know who worked high up the council, not SH or his mob, it wasn’t very transparent:xmashehe:

Sounds like another Trust excuse. If you had posted "we (the trust) have tried to contact the organizer's, but they have failed to respond" then I could understand the trust being blameless as you seem to indicate.
But again, this is another example of the trust not being proactive. If there is a hint of a protest, then the trust should try to engage. If after speaking with the organizer's the trust wants to get involved or not, then explain your reasons to your membership

Apparently the relationship between Rodney Berman & Hammam bordered on farcical at times and that may or may not have been a factor but due diligence was undertaken after what happened with Plougn Lane.
I’m sure S.H lost money at the time, but wasn’t that outlay included in the 24m loan notes ?

I can’t recall to be honest. Also, did go to brown hills now and again, but it wasn’t a place for the faint hearted….:xmashehe:
As for Olympus sports, that was mid 80’s wasn’t it? I recall seeing young lads hanging out there and plenty of docks boys, but I fancied going home with my tacchini tracksuit top so gave that area a swerve if they were there, they generally looked a few years older than me and my mates….
