Finance seems easily the most likely to me.
If finance is the issue then the question is why buy another cb (fish) when we have such poor options up front.

Steve Bull. I.e. Sometimes first touch, or even second touch, is not perfect. Not very refined, but quite direct and although looks awkward, he seems to score
The standard of football looks a bit harumscarum, but he seems to get involved in the game quite a bit.

I like the Daland and Fish signings, but you make a fair point.

I don’t think it’s a question of prioritising one position over another it’s more about availability.
I guess it’s like you have a shopping list and some of the items on the list are easier to get into the basket whilst to get some other items you have to have a little more patience.
If there's another signing today it will be a striker on loan imo

Re Tsunoda, nobody knows what he’s like or all about but Goutas will probably leave on a free this summer so he might be our 4th choice. If Fish or Daland look good, we’ll cash in as well.
I’d rather we signed young players with potential instead of the over the hill journeymen we’ve almost exclusively signed for the best part of a decade
They reckon he rates Isaak Davies, so he and Etete will be back in a few months too, so it's quantity rather than quality.

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Simic seems to have been Sunderlands main target, at least their fans believe anyway, seems they just want any striker. They have a 146 page Simic thread on their forum.
I just can't see us buying him to loan out when we struggle for goals.
Think this is one of those rumours that walesonline get wrong, of which there are a few.

He must be really interested. No guarantee they get promoted though and i'm sure he could get a good championship club if he wanted.

What do you mean? We signed a striker for a reported £2.5 million, shame he doesn’t play for us.
