Goutas has been awful and at fault for a number of goals. Aside from his header against Swansea I can’t think of anything positive to say about his season!
Agree about the two Callums and Salech has been good since we signed him in January.

And the runners and riders are:
- Calum Chambers
- Dimitrios Goutas
- Callum O'Dowda
- Andy Rinomhota
- Callum Robinson
- Yousef Salech
I can see the case for a few of them (if there is to be a POTS) - the two 'l' Callums - but that is also a very odd barrel-scraping list. Dimi?
Anyway, I'm off to vote Andy Rinomhota.
VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN!

Toss up between Robinson and Rino for me.
Meite is having a hell of a surge to put his name forward. Wait till the end of the season and he'd win hands down. Got a feeling.![]()
There’s no outstanding candidate for me, it’s an award that is still there to be won.
Rino for me, though I don't think any of them particularly deserve it, Salech scored a few great goals but has gone missing often, (more due to the other players rather than himself) same with Robbo. Goutas has too many mistakes, Rino for me, at least been consistent in my eyes
I kind of get why Rino, its a good story and hes done well, same with ODowda.
Problem is Rino offers little going forward and ODowda has a mistake in him defensively, to progress if we stay in the championship we need better than both at fullback.
Chambers for me but Robinson scoring a few towards the end of the season and its his.
I can't understand why so many people are saying Rinomhota at all, I struggle to recall one single memorable moment from the entire season. the fact that someone who has been *mostly* fine when filling in for another position is even in the running says a lot about this season.
it has to be Robinson for me. take his goals out and we would be adrift.
We'd be dead and buried without Robinson. Unless Salech scores 4 or 5 more now to keep us up, it has to be Robinson.
What on earth is Goutas doing on that list?
Rino has been average at best for much of the season, fair play to him for stepping into an unfamiliar role, but its an indictment on the rest if he wins POTS
Robinson surely.
Must be one his better goal returns whilst working off few chances and being unable to play every other week.
I think Rinomhota gets votes because he’s someone whose attitude cannot be questioned in a squad which in my opinion has a dodgy attitude a whole - there’s also the fact that he’s had to play out of position most of the time.
Robinson for me. Whilst Salech has been a good signing I cant help thinking that dropping Robinson when hes been having his best season might be one of the reasons we go down
I would have loved to be saying Salech at this stage of the season, but he needs to improve rapidly to feature.
His stats are classic average. He missed about half of his shots, about half of his passes and is successful in about half of his dribbles.
He has scored about half of what we needed from him.
Robinson for me.
The award should be changed to: Least Worst Player of the Season
It's going to be hard to pick any one player, out of a whole team chock-full of average journeymen. Not one of them stands out as being 'outstanding', and even the best have been only slighter better than average. That said, we have to pick someone, so Robinson gets my vote. Works hard, always brings something to the show, and he scores goals. It'll be interesting to see who the players vote for themselves.
A few months back, I would have said that Ashford was nailed-on for 'young player', but he seems to have lost his way a little. Another category up for grabs, then.
It's been like this for the past 6 years or so though. Normally ng wins or that full back we had on loan for a few months- he won it didn't he? His name escapes me.
I remember when chris barker won POTS and was similar then.
If you have average full backs winning player of the season that is rarely a good sign.
