I'm not sure Attlee was a socialist, but he was at least a social democrat with energy, vision and determination. The post war Labour government seized the moment to transform the economic and social order and put people, respect and decency before imperialism and profiteering. Corbyn is another traditional social democrat. Always has been - despite some of the Mail-lite rubbish posted in this thread - but that's probably what is needed just now.
The Tory media and the establishment are running scared of corbyn , if he can get rid of McDonald and Abbott , who are both liabilities , he has a chance
