Yes, very difficult. We are both in our early seventies (well wife is almost 70) so are in a high risk category to start with. My wife has some breathing difficulties and if even if she just gets a cold then that often leads to a chest infection and even more difficulty with breathing.

One family is in England so that complicates the picture a bit (e.g. those travel restrictions from time to time). Neither family are shielding but the bottom line is that they are concerned for us, that they may unwittingly pass on the virus and so it is by the (regrettable) mutual decision that we do not meet face to face for the time being. We do lots of ZOOM meetings which helps but there is no substitute for hugs and kisses is there! July next year will be our Golden Wedding anniversary so we are hoping that we will have a grand get-together then and make up for all the lost time!
