Robinson made Ng’s goal with two lovely bits of skill ending with the foul for the free kick.

Yeah he played well, pleased for him. I’m a big Robbo fan.

Superb away tactics against a team in form, and they worked.

He got a response from Robbo, he definitely looked to be working a lot harder and we took control, Tanner and Colwill didn't work out as well, but the game was won and they were certainly trying very hard.

Different games Eric, we were very unlucky with a crap ref that changed the game by disallowing a good goal, he will sometimes play more defensively against good or in-form teams away from home.

We all prefer a more attacking team like last night, but horses for course's, fingers crossed he will use attack more often than defence.

Can’t help but feel if the game was closer we would have finished some of those in the second half, poor decision making and a few wanting to get a goal rather than making the right decision, in particular Tanner.

it was a nice run to win the free kick, but Ng still had quite a bit to do to score from there!

Alnwick was inspired that game, producing a string of very fine saves. We defended for our lives at times as they ran us ragged. Alnwick made 6 saves and our defenders blocked 8 other attempts, some last ditched.

I'd regard a 1-0 away win where the opposition don't create much as superb away tactics. I thought one of our biggest smash and grabs was as Leicester in the PL when Camarasa scored late on. In terms of what we created, the Sunderland win was an even bigger smash and grab.

I'm not complaining that we won at Sunderland. Far from it. Claims that we got it spot on tactically are just a load of nonsense. We could have lost it 3-0 and nobody would have said that flattered them. They didn't, had a day when it wouldn't go in but we found a way. 3 points, thank you.

Spot-on. NCB needs to lay off the ketamine if he thinks Sunderland away was a tactical masterclass.

You need to lay off the meths, a great away win smash and grab and you two aren't happy because you couldn't moan (although actually you still are), defenders and Alnwick did their job well, and we got a hard-earned away win. We've been unlucky on other tough away trips too where we've conceded three, that day was a clean sheet and job done.

Stop crying because Bulut told Colwill and Robinson to work harder, because it's worked and they are.

So since I said Robinson and Colwill should play they've scored 1 each in 2 games that have happened since then. I was criticised for this 'yOu kNoW mOrE tHaN tHe MaNaGeR'

But go on expand on this.

The Championship is not built for those who have the skills to produce moments of magic . Irs work ,,skill mire work . Robinson knows that looks like he wants away? Which is sad as he is obviously talented. ..

Colwill is young and learning, needs gym work and boss his position better..

That talk about Robinson’s attitude would have read much more true after the Watford game. His attitude has been spot on in the last two matches.

Robinson looks like he wants away?

    Really?

What body language are you picking up to justify that claim?

The one I can see from from my seat, huge talent, loads skill, no real 90 minute game after game attitude, his running off the ball positioning has seen him wanting, at times this year, his body language has not convinced me he wants it. Think the manager has said the same.. Hopefully he will listen and deliver, same for Colwill

As a matter of interest were you there or was it another limited angle television watch .

    Re: Robinson and Colwill.

Robinson was angry to come off, throwing his gloves, but I don’t mind that. Bulut made a point of calling him over just after final whistle and they embraced.

Gotta say he’s managed Colwill well. He’s given him about 40 mins today when the games in the balance, so he trusts him, and it’s paid off. I think he’s a confidence player and that’ll do him the world of good.

Not a bad 2 players to rotate, and we’ve got Ramsey to come back ahead of them! Great dilemma for us.

You replied to a guy who wouldn't play Colwill because he felt we're more likely to concede goals. He was talking about the old lazy version of the player. Not the player we saw today. The player who has responded to the manager publicly having a go at him.

Do agree he has began to deliver, think Rambo has effected his chances somewhat and that maybe a contributing factor,??

He's a skillful intellegent player, sadly for him the league is unforgiving, you have to give up ones energies in other departments, ie defending the area between the oppositions penalty box and halfway,, covering chasing, which can effect your natural game as a gifted forward.

Colwill, Tanner and Robo are all wonderful talents question is can we afford to play them together for long periods of the game at the expense of tracking up and down type players. Which the likes of Bowler and Ralls are??

Get the feeling the manager likes to start games cautiously, build a solid defense game then unleash pace as the opposition tire. ?? I Have seen sides go up with that tactic if you can score ??

Hey, we're in Top 6 who would have thought hey, and that's without looking brilliant, that difficult start of the season results now paint a different picture.

Spot on the manager has shaken them up and he has the players on the bench to support his roll up yer sleeves or else, he has said the same to Tanner and Robo.

My guess is the more skifull players at this level have the bigger ego's.. And harder to handle, not so if you have players in reserve.. Well done the club for providing that position.

The manager knows that this team has to work hard. He identified that early. Doesn't mean that he isn't going to introduce more flair as time goes on. At the moment we are a hard working team, because we have to be, we earn results with our work rate. I think that Bulut will get Colwill where he needs to be, as he is doing with Tanner and to a degree with Robinson, He's demanding more from them, which is a good thing. The most pleasing thing about Colwills goal today (For me) was that he tried something that the majority of our players wouldn't, and that was turning over the two defenders. That's a great sign, he's looked more assertive to me this season when i've seen him.
