Giving a player who is 32 in three weeks time (Moore) a three year contract appears something of a strange one (although probably done as much to get him to sign as anything else) especially if they have genuine aspirations to go straight back up. Cant see Moore cutting it in the Prem at 33 years of age.
One of the blokes on the Second Tier podcast rates Chambers as the second best Championship signing of the summer - the smug one rubbished it of course, but he did rate Willock a very good signing.
40 games for the pair. Started 12, taken off 11 times. Substituted on 28 times. Both WBA & Ipswich predominantly brought him on with 20-30 minutes to go. In the games I saw him play for Ipswich, very much an impact player. Quick, direct, likes to cut inside. An upgrade on Josh Bowler but from the left, where he’s no better than O’Dowda
Yes, appears to have missed the whole of the calendar year 2023. An OK record either side of that and a very good 2021-22. He looks a 9 more suited to Bulut's system than Robinson. I wonder what Riis's value is?
Actually, I'm not sure where Robinson fit's into a Bulut system. I know some will say as a 10, but as the two other midfielders sat so deep last season it just doesn't work. I don't see Robinson coming deep to get the ball and working back defensively. He only suits a more attacking system.
interesting thoughts from Abbandonato
I do think if Robinson has really knuckled down with@CardiffCityFC (and I’m told he has), Odowda is over his issues & Ramsey is fit (didn’t go on hols this summer cos he wants to get body ready for Championship rigours), it’s like THREE EXTRA pedigree summer signings right there

Seen this and while I hope Ramsey and ODowda stay fit, they can’t be relied on.
As for Robinson, we know Bulut doesn’t rate him and won’t play him upfront. We want 2 new strikers, Etete and Meite were ahead of him last season. So he’s 5th or 6th choice depending on if he will play Davies upfront.
I just don’t see him being involved.
Adams gone
Who’s next
Vontae Daley-Campbell on trial with Chesterfield.
I agree with this. If we don't get a decent striker through the door then it's going to another long, attritional season. I don't bother with the pre-seasons anymore (friendlies). They tell us nothing. Chambers is exciting. Ramsey won't last the season and we all know it. Etete is rubbish let's be honest. We need a striker (Davies back is great news though). Robinson is finished at City imo.
New signing imminent.?

I wish they'd reword the havent spent a penny yet.
We haven't spent a penny on transfer fees but I'm certain the signing on fees of Willock and Chambers would be significant and more than the fee we will actually receive for Adams.
Surprised at the low price for Adam's considering he is another "star" who has left the club - I'm sure I have missed us being a champion league club with all the stars we have lost over the last couple of years - I'm sure Glen Williams does it as a wind up
Also read that article and couldn't see anywhere it says an imminent deal other than the headline 🤔👍
Bulut looked like someone who was expecting a signing in the next few days at the end of his post Pen Y Bont game interview on the club website.
Cardiff stepping up transfer activity. Manchester City's Alex Robertson another target
Another midfielder. 21.
"BOX-TO-BOX MIDFIELDER
Alex signed for City as an Under-15 and has since progressed to the EDS squad, following signing his first professional contract in July 2020.
An all-action central midfield player, Alex has featured regularly for England at Youth level.
Alex spent the first half of the 2021/22 season on loan in the Scottish Premiership with Ross County before returning to the EDS setup.
The midfielder received his first senior international call-up in March 2023 when he was selected as part of the Australia squad for a two-part friendly series against Ecuador.
While born in Scotland, Robertson spent the majority if his early life down under, and qualifies for selection courtesy of his father, Mark, who also represented the Socceroos at senior level.
Alex has joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan for the 2023/24 season.."
