If we get that we have done well. It’s still a shame.
If they are that good at finding the right players why wouldn't they able to build a team that would have avoided relegation last season?
I don't recall anyone saying we were good at finding the right players with the right stats and characteristics when we got relegated from the Premier League.
Interestingly the thread switches to 'who would you go for and Scott Mckenna's name immediately comes up.
I really hope the Mckenna rumours are true, he and McGuinness would be a top class pairing. Dare I say, a promotion winning pairing.
I hope we don't sell McGuinness. Despite the figures being bandied about representing 'good business' under the current ownership there has never been a direct correlation between income and expenditure in the transfer budget.
According to most football media McKenna is signing for Las Palmas. To join his mate Olllie McGinger cnut

If sources are to be believed we've only paid £1m up front half of which would be covered by the money we got for Adams - and the remainder would be 6 months of Wintles wages.
As you say he's largely unproven but I think a decent gamble for a player that is a more attack minded midfielder and has some potential to improve.
Where's Robertson then?
Junior Hoilett joins Hibernian on a one year contract
Ike Ugbo has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent basis. Undisclosed fee (as usual).
For me Ugbo was a very useful striker in the box who was frequently stuck out on the wing with no service and even when used as a striker suffered from our general lack of composure in the final third. One of the better finishers we’ve had in the last 10 years.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he got double digit goals this season, that’s got to be worth 3 million even if the rest of his game is lacking?
That's a big point to make. Bulut has got to let strikers be strikers this season, not defensive strikers, wide players when the wide midfielder is helping the full back even when we're attacking.
With the numbers we get forward and the slow, boring attacking, our strikers don't get much of a chance. I think if we'd have signed Kieffer Moore, he'd have been on the wing half the time looking for the ball as he'd have precious little up front.
In non-City news, Jordan James is allegedly heading to Rennes for £8m
