Maybe living in the leafy Vale isn't as safe as it used to be?
Shop around as other companies won't have as much weight on certain factors like postcode. You could also look at increasing your excess, or, if you have breakdown included, look at changing the level of cover ?
Well an increase of 215 quid to 285 is 32 percent

    A hike of a third

I don't know how much money you play with but as far as I am concerned they can do one

I would imagine that quite a high proportion of minor bumps were on roads that were formerly 30mph
But I'll go back to my point - if road accidents overall haven't gone down by 20%, how have claims gone down that much?

Mine went up about £500 from £7 to 1200, and that's with full no claims.
I was told the increases are because of the costs of repairing electric cars.

I’ve just had my car written off as a result of flood damage but what annoys me, is nobody has come to look at the car and decide whether it can be repaired. As soon as I mentioned it was in water, Admiral were prepared to write off immediately. I asked them if they could send somebody to have a look at it but they said they wouldn’t and I had to get somebody to check it myself. I couldn’t get anybody so it’s being picked up on Monday and I appreciate there could be major damage but it could be cheaper to repair than write it off.

How much would it cost them to fully determine the extent of the flood damage? that probably becomes part of the decision.
If it-' £400 for a garage to give it a thorough examination, and then there's a small chance that it'll be fixable then it isn't likely to be worth it.

It could be the car’s worth £17-18000 so I think it’s worth an examination
