We probably share (no pun intended) similar views of the role of the markets in society. Personally I will never own a listed share, but I recognize millions do including millions of ordinary people and pension funds and the like. It goes without saying the rich will benefit most because they own the most shares.

But for people to present the dollar doing well and the US markets doing well as a bad thing is a tad absurd tbh, especially given their reaction to markets in the past after Brexit and the like.

As I said. You can't win. Had markets fallen you would have posted an article about how "millions of ordinary Americans see the values of their shares fall thanks to Trump"
I doubt I would have posted a commentary about the US stock market moving if it wasn't focussed on the expected policy agenda of a Trump presidency that will favour his rich oligarch mates. That was the focus of the piece. The immediate market bounce on the back of Trump's win is a financial bonus for Musk and the rest. The real payday will come after January 2025.
