Trump is incredibly good at spotting and exploiting a mark. He likes Christians for their money and their votes, in that order.

His whole life has been acting exactly the opposite to what you may consider are Christian values. It has brought him unimagined success in the final years of his life - why on earth would he change when things couldn't be going much better?

There's a clip of him being interviewed about his 'faith'. They throw him what they consider a softball; what is your favourite verse in the bible and (when he flubs that), are you an Old or New Testament guy? Trump has no idea what to do, and is visibly flustered (an incredible facial expression at 00.20!), not even being aware that the Old and New Testaments are completely different.

So no - I wouldn't claim him as one of your own.
Trump avoids answering their question but to assume he had no appropriate answer is simply speculation.

I've just put a number of points to jon1959 and he has avoided them. While I may think he like Trump is out of his depth, I can't declare that dogmatically because I cannot know that for certain. He has his chance to surprise us all and be untrump-like

But as you brought it up, how would you explain the process of being 'born-again' from a Biblical perspective?
