Don’t think it’s as simple as that. To get promoted you need lots of people at the top of their game. On the other hand, if a club has an eccentric and inept owner who we’re told makes all of the big decisions, has a policy of promoting inexperienced coaches already at the club to take over from the one or two managers he sacks a season and refuses to heed the advice of many within the game (not to mention a majority of supporters) who tell him he needs to employ a Director of Football type, then that instantly puts the team concerned under a big handicap.

Tan’s not solely responsible for our relegation, but he should be number one on any list of who or what is to blame for it.

There is no stomach for protest. Maybe because it's the fear of liquidation/admin. Total apathy. (I include myself in this) We have the Trust , FAB , and the Tan Out Group who cant even register on this forum.. It's like a feckin Monty Python sketch. Are u the Judean People's Front. Pretty sure Everton did it over the summer months, and they didn't even get relegated.

Get Tan, Dalman and Choo to sell. They are actively hostile to our growth as a football club at this point. Wrexham are where they are because they have a positive atmosphere in their club, it's that simple. We are in the running, alongside Manchester United and Reading (the former of which are still a Premiership side and the latter of which are selling) for having the most miserable, underachieving side as it stands in the 92 relatively to geographical size/fan capture.

We do not have a director of football in the year 2025. We are the only capital city in Europe without a team in the top division, or even the second division now. This is unacceptable beyond measure and something must be done because this club is on life support due to the feckless threesome. This is a sick joke, and I'm tired of the complacency.

You know we need a buyer for him to sell?

We're a capital city, and we have loads of events that take place in the city, the city is thriving and on the rise, in spite of how shit the football club is, not because of how good it's doing. Finding a buyer will be extremely easy.

The hard part will be getting Tan to part ways with it. Which is why he needs to be pushed out.

    Extremely easy? Yeah ok.

I'd love Tan to go. I think we will go into further decline under his ownership.

However I don't think there is any realistic interest in buying him out. I would love to be proved wrong.

    Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 0 - 0 W.B.A.. RELEGATED

thankyou to all the lads who keep the banter going and keep it interesting here, ill be honest as i said before, ive not watched a live game while the prick of a clown was in charge... i called for his head long long ago

long time bluebirds can remember even worse times than this, we been there there and done it

looking forward to winning ways and cheering again, it gives everyone a lift, its been so drab and negative for far too long

going to be a topsy turvy summer id have thought, players who think they are better than L1 will no doubt look to leave as cuts in outgoings will be drastic... my advise for those, thanks for nothing and piss off, there are plenty of young talent in lower teams who are just coming through and looking to progress way beyond us, lets hope we get a 15-20 goal a season little gem who can become a hero

as for the club **** you, it makes the prem league years seem like nothing now, id sooner be back in ninian cheering eddie may and the lads on

Yes, I do think it will be extremely easy to find a buyer interested, but the issue is Tan will price them out of it. Which is why we've got to be as openly hostile to him as possible now.

Given Wrexham are now an entertainment juggernaut in the US, and Swansea now have Modric investment, it would be very easy to pitch Cardiff as having potential to expand into entertainment ventures as the capital city, now that two other Welsh teams are on the rise. TKO Holdings held a massive WWE event in Cardiff in 2022, the first large event since Summerslam 1992 in Wembley and have a very lucrative Netflix deal. Other entertainers frequently include Cardiff as a part of their schedule when doing touring dates. There is massive upside to investing in Cardiff if done correctly and intelligently, we had a Champions League final held here after all.

We are on par with a team like Bolton as it currently stands. For a capital city, it's pathetic and given where the city is otherwise, we are under-performing on a monumental level. The pressure must be unloaded full-bore once the Sala trial is over, because he is (and I do not say this lightly) a cancer on this club.

    Ok where's the interest?

I just told you there was major interest in the city itself. We know last years that several firms made approaches to Tan but were priced out of it due to Tan being Tan, something he's going to have less incentive to do now he's had this rude awakening.

We need to push him out, because if Reading can be saved (they'll be promoted next season, if not maybe in the playoffs this season), then Cardiff surely can.

Can't disagree with that ; the only problem is I reckon Tan takes very little interest in his football club nowadays and is more concerned with seeing the Sala case to it's conclusion.

    What firms?

Sorry I'm not having a go. I just don't believe there is real genuine interest.

If there was why haven't they made themselves known? It would certainly help.

    capital city doesn't mean shit.

were not in the 100 biggest cities in Europe.

were a small to medium provincial city in a relatively poor part of the UK.

Agree. The capital city stuff is complete bollox.

The support from the Capital is terrible. Take away the Valleys and surrounding areas support and we'd really be a small club deserving of a Lower League place.

I don't know the exact details because everyone involved has been hush-hush. It's not the kind of thing that companies would openly talk about unless in advanced talks, but allegedly, there were about 2-3 consortiums interested, including one American one last summer that Tan priced out.

Burnley are 5 times smaller than us and are in the Premier League.

Brighton are half our size, and have played European football recently.

There are no excuses. The reason we've lost so much support and so many in the city would rather support big 6 clubs is because of the relationship between the ownership and the fans. Should that improve, the fan support would improve.

There might natuarally be one of those anyway. Can we expect to shift 14 - 16000 ST's after a relegation?

10000 will a stretch at this point. Are there any teams casual fans would want to watch us play in League One?

At least going down from the Prem to the Championship, there are some good teams worth watching still.
