I return to the assessment of Colwill I made earlier this year:
He’s the really skilled lad at school who loves to show off. He hasn’t adapted well to playing as part of a team.
Either he is being greedy or he genuinely feels he needs to do clever things because we’re losing and desperate for a goal.
The net result is a player over-playing and falling around, rather than doing simple things well.
His performance versus Villa was excellent. Maybe that sort of role is worth exploring further?
