I think Labour will comfortably win, but it's like saying who will win the 2024 cup final - Man City of Chelsea. No one would predict Chelsea if asked, but everyone knows by that point the situation could be different
The economic issues of the last 3 years may have been mostly external (Liz Truss's disastrous tenure shouldn't just be glossed over - that has had a real impact on people's finances to this day)

However, public services have been deteriorating and the economy has been underperforming for a lot longer than that

The Joy Of Government Is That The People Are Stupid

      Adolf Hitler

I am afraid he was right

If we get a conservative government of any shape or form it will be time to turn off the lights

I think the biggest thing stopping a huge swing to labour is starmer and his team

Blair was a liar and a thief but when he first got hold of the party he had charisma and people in the middle voted for him , even after the calamity and deceit of Iraq

I think labour is done for if it fails to get a majority or enough to govern

In the long term I have had enough of it and only vote because its the only possible alternative to the blue nasties

I think a donkey with a red rosette would be better than starmer , raynor , thornberry, dodds and copper

Even the shadow chancellor annoys me

Lisa Nandy would make a good leader , anyone but Starmer

Sir Bier would sell his granny ( sorry older relative personage ) for power he has already ditched half of his promises , is their any point in having an alleged manifesto for growth .

The only growth is in Angela's silent anger , and Sir Biers temper face when Dianne Abbott speaks out , both very quiet these days , have they been silenced along with Yvette Cooper , Rosie Duffield the Labour ladies doth protest too much .

I don’t like making political predictions, but, after last week’s elections, a Conservative majority Government looks like a bit of a long shot.
Put a big wager on it then

If there is life on Mars sadly there's no poetry there.

                      Re: Election Prediction

Other then the War monger was in power - the previous Lab Govt was in 1974-79. The Uk will vote for a change next time I think, but it depends on the SNP. They have 50 something MPs , if Labour can win back Scotland they'll have a chance.
I think Starma as PM will be as boring as Major - and as equally inept.

You're right Sludge - Labour should split - Corbyn / Livingston et al should have a party and those slightly left of centre should try and take ground from the lib dems. Sunak is trying to do the same - so hung parliament / minority Govt looking likely

I wouldn't mind that at all . I will vote for whatever candidate will beat the conservatives .

It's incredible that after all these years of nonsense from them the opposition is not able to win a clear majority but I saw Question Time last night and whilst the tory panel member was utterly inept and there for a kicking , the Labour shadow leader of the House......a senior Labour big hitter ......was absolutely hopeless

The Labour party should be demolished and a left of centre or moderate opposition probably nearer liberal in nature than left wing should be established . In that way the opposition can be a group of people with anti tory values and be united instead of a split vote which keeps the conservatives in power

Labour are not taking about electoral pacts or minority government or coalition but they should be because that's going to be the reality

The worst case scenario of course would be a tory government , again

I find that unbelievable but I think the above together with the utter hopelessness of starmer may well let them in again

If that happens I will be done with all of them
I'll not vote but hope the current lot get fkin mullered and then some, however, we'll only get more of the same, just like Merica we IMO have a uniparty situation

I want your lot out permanently

The only way is for those who have something in common ......we don't vote Tory....to unite and settle for a compromise of moderate government

The left wing of the labour party , the liberals , Plaid, independents etc ......Will never govern so they should all join up in a united anti Conservative ticket

Anything else is a waste of time and just let's the Tories divide the opposition

I'm sure she'll bag the win again without myself and Doris leaving the house, voting Labour would be endorsing them, I want them to bring it home but I don't want to say I voted for them, there are millions of politically homeless, to repeat its a uniparty and if you have to get up in the morning for a commute to work you are being fked over, if you are unfortunate as not being able to work its x 2.

Well just vote for them and don't tell anyone

That way you can be sure with certainty you have done your bit to keep the Tories out but nobody will know you have voted Labour
