Of course not. But being lectured by a man who chooses not to live in a place governed by the party he wants us to support and chooses to live in a very undiverse, expensive place thats had a Tory MP for 30 years does rather give the impression of "do as I say not as I do".

He is insufferable. Though I do have a couple of his albums and he did introduce me to Woody Guthrie which i am grateful for.

Why are people so keen to encourage others how to vote?

Isn't it a personal thing? If someone chooses to share it with you then cool, but surely people should just mind their own? Why do left wing people seem to all "rally around the enemy" ? I voted Labour last time, I'm not particularly over the moon with the Tories but this kind of thing also just puts me off Labour.

He's not that insignificant a cultural voice on UK politics..I just checked and he's been on Question Time 8 times!

I believe he lives in a very salubrious little village just outside Bridport a little in from the beautiful coast. West Dorset. Tory since the dawn of time, although interestingly may go to Lib Dem this time.

I like his music but I just think he's a bit of a hypocrite, and like a lot of left-wingers they dismiss people with different views who are very often far more at the coalface of policies in the UK.

I think left wing people are far more abusive and judgemental about how others vote I'm afraid. I'm not sure if it was always that way, but certainly has been since social media became a thing.

I'm saying they are out of touch and preach at people who know the reality of life on the breadline more.

He's allowed to do it, but it does make him a bit of a condescending prick.

I know a lot of left wing people who endlessly go on about diversity and the like and then bang..have a couple of kids and move to the sticks! They want it for others, less so themselves.
