No, left wing people don't have to be poor, of course not. But when they lecture people about stuff I think they should stop to listen more to what people who are saying a little more.

If the diverse left wing society he extols so much is so good, one would imagine he would choose to live in such a place? Bit like those friends of the working class who turn their noses up at wetherspoons and the like
You just need to study the rise and fall of civilisations, it's all been done before.

I couldn't vote for my favoured party, no candidate for Rod's push for PM in the Welsh outback

if they end up as the third party then the lib dems would likely be the official opposition.
that could change the political discourse in this country massively
For the worse then though possibly.

We would have left leaning parties as both government and opposition.

I don't believe that would be good balance.

I would however prefer the Conservatives to move back towards the centre, but that seems unlikely

For what it's worth though I think the Tories will get at least 150 seats.

And based purely on the fact that Opinion Polls usually underestimate the vote (look at 2019 where the majority of 80 odd was far more than everybody thought) I would not be surprise if they got 200-220.

And if it that high, there is a higher likelihood of a more centrist Tory party.

No doubt I will have egg on my face tomorrow but its all good fun

I think they will be the opposition most likely.
nightmare scenario would be they have to merge with Reform to become the 2nd largest party and farsge becomes leader.

well we will know soon enough, I'm off to vote now

I'll take that bet that they won't get 200 seats.

If Tories say they are moderates then they should be voting Liberal

Lots of tory mps in the past have more liberal traits than they do tory

                Ken Clarke
                Douglas Hurd
                Heseltine on occasions
                Dominic Grieve

I have patience with these sorts though , Sarah Wollaston at the election before last said she was a liberal leaning tory but voted with the government on some very dodgy stuff

If she had switched camps she probably would have kept her seat

A centrist tory party is still the tory party and if you vote Tory then you are a tory

The future hopefully will see lots more liberal Mps who can suck in the tory vote and work with a moderate labour party

Sadly the tory party will never die but if its just breathing that will be fine

                      I think your right.

If I was in the UK I'd be having a wager at 7/1 on the Tories to get between 150-199 seats with a small bet on 40/1 at over 200.

The Tories always do better than polling suggests.

I cant believe there are enough stupid people out there to vote for the feckwit Farage party.
